Monaco Invoice Presentation

Coupa Invoicing provides native, dedicated support for Monaco Invoice Presentations. This allows you to generate legally compliant, digitally signed tax invoices with Monaco-specific corporate identifiers; the Registre du Commerce et de l'Industrie (RCI) number directly in the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP).
Note: When you set up your Monaco legal entity correctly, Coupa Invoicing generates and digitally sign a compliant Legal Invoice PDF on your behalf. You don't need to generate a digital signature externally for your domestic Monégasque transactions.

Monaco compliance capabilities

If you are a supplier registered or operating in Monaco, Coupa Invoicing supports your compliance and billing flows through the following portal capabilities:

  • Automatic Formatting Monaco Presentation: When your tax registration is set to Monaco (MC), Coupa Invoicing automatically triggers your dedicated Monaco invoice layout instead of defaulting to French templates.

  • The Corporate Identifier, RCI number: Coupa Invoicing captures your official RCI Number (Registre du Commerce et de l'Industrie) and prints it clearly on your legal invoice PDF and the UI.

  • Compliant Digital Signing: If your buyer has enabled Supplier Compliance, Coupa Invoicing generates a legally signed PDF using compliant Monégasque localized security credentials.

Monaco supplier onboarding requirements

For your invoices to use the correct Monaco template and digital signature, you must configure your profile in the Coupa Supplier Portal (CSP) using the steps below.

1: Check if you are already onboarded

If you are already active in the CSP but historically configured your tax country as France (FR), you must update your settings immediately. If you leave France as your tax country, French templates will apply and your Monaco RCI number will not be available.

2: Create a new Legal Entity

You can't simply edit your existing legal entity country settings. You must create a brand-new legal entity in the CSP:

  1. Log into the CSP.

  2. Navigate to Admin > Legal Entity Setup and click Add Legal Entity.

    • Tax Registration Country: Select Monaco (MC). This triggers your Monaco Supplier Compliance layout.

    • Legal Entity Country (Invoice From Address - Country): Select Monaco (MC). If Monaco is not selected as your address country, you can't to save your RCI Number.

3: Enter your Monaco identifiers

  • RCI Number: Enter your official Registre du Commerce et de l'Industrie (RCI) number in the provided field. This number is distinct from your VAT ID.

  • VAT ID: Enter your Monégasque VAT number, using the French format: FR followed by 11 characters.

4: Configure your preferred language

  • Default PDF Language: Select French Monaco (fr-MC) as your default PDF language.

Note: To see the localized field title RCI Number rendered on your PDF and user interface (UI), your legal entity language must be set to French Monaco (fr-MC). If you choose to render your PDF in English, the field displays the generic label Company Registration Number instead (Planned enhancement for R46.x).
